Bad experience today with this lot - Nick on the internal Zendesk chat needs some serious coaching. Chat today at 9.15am AEST.
I hired a car that had the oil light come on within 30 minutes of driving the vehicle, the car also had some loud screeching when starting the vehicle, I followed your app instructions immediately to when the problem occurred, the app told me to contact the owner, I contacted the owner who said to coordinate with his mechanic. I contacted his mechanic at 8am via txt, no reply, I rang his mechanic at 9am who then said to me he would come and meet me in an hour, 11:50am.. no reply or call from the mechanic, I rang the owner and said I’m bringing the car back early.. it’s already half way through the day. The owner advised he needed to service the car.
I’ve been billed the next day $126++ for 21klms of driving. I feel this should be reimbursed based on the situation.
Your rep Nick on the internal chat didn’t pay any attention to my request, no active listening, he pushed the problem back on me and said to contact you earlier, ummm, I followed your app instructions and you finalised the bill literally now which is why I’m contacting you.
Trip receipt – Trip #1082665
I look forward to hearing from your management team very soon.
**update 11:20am
CSR responded to my request with a $20 credit to use against my next booking. Is this a joke? Was it missing a 1 next to the $20? Case escalated before Consumer Affairs get involved.
cheating and dishonest: offered a discount price but in the end still charged me for full price. sent so many emails with proofs but the support girls still keep say, "no mistakes", and "any more questions?".
(it should be $35 a day for 5 days after $45 a day in the first 5 days, total 10 days).
BEWARE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. CARNEXTDOOR is one of those companies that hides the small print and has conflicting rules that protect the owners and disadvantage you, the unsuspecting consumer. I discovered sadly, that even the Department of FAIR TRADING Queensland is a toothless tiger and could do nothing in the face of a pathetic explanation for why they fined me $30.00 for something the owner did wrong and then blamed me for. PLEASE PASS ON AND SHARE. I am sick of the consumer being ripped off!
